I have many favorite characters in the books that I have read, but one of my favorite characters is Brittany from Commercial Breaks Famous for Thirty Seconds. I like Brittany because she changed a lot throughout the book and she learned many life lessons aswell. In the beginning of the book Brittany was very bratty, spoiled, and full of herself because she was a famous commercial star and she always got the lead role. During the middle of the book she starts to realize that she doesn't get everyhting she wants, when her old "friend" Phoebe go the lead role instead of Brittany. She gets mad and has a little hissy fit and then Phoebe's brother talks to her about it and she feels better after. Near the end of the story Brittany has completly changed, she went from being bratty, spoiled, and full of herself to beig helpful, kind ,and caring. At the end of the book, Brittany got the lead role in the big commrcial as the "Spa Girl" and she gave it to Phoebe right before the shoot was about to start. She knew that Phoebe cared about this a lot and she thought that Phoebe deserved it more than her. Brittany helped her learn her new lines. Brittany suprised me very much throughtuot the book. Brittany changed her actions and the way she acted. I think that she changed throughout the book because she realized that everyhting wasn't about her. Also she realized that she loved art and commercials and she has been doing a lot of commercials so she was takinga break and doing more art. She also changed because she realized that many people didn't like her because of the way she acted.
I can relate to Brittany in such a strong way because her and I are very similar. When I was little I thought everything had to be about me and as I grew older I realized that isn't true and Brittany thought and realized the same thing. Also Brittany thought that it was so important I she looked good and if she didn't she thought that others would make fun of her, I felt the same way, but then I realized that it doesn't matter people will like you for who you are not what you look like. Brittany learned many life lessons as she grew up and I learned some of the lessons that she learned. Brittany learned to try new things and never give up something that you enjoy. She also learned that the "golden rule" (treat others the way you want to be treated) really does matter. When she treated Phoebe badly in the beginning of the book, near the end Phoebe treated her badly, but Phoebe was never as mean as her. Brittany learned many lessons from her friends and family as she grew up. I know that i learned many life lessons from my family and friends and without my family I maybe wouldn't act the way I act today!
I really wish that I could meet Brittany in real life!
Excellent Job Marley! Keep up the good work!
